Job Summary:

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the restaurant's operations during assigned shifts. This role ensures smooth service, manages staff performance, maintains high-quality customer service, and ensures compliance with company standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff during the shift.

  • Ensure smooth restaurant operations and excellent customer service.

  • Handle guest concerns and resolve complaints promptly.

  • Manage staff breaks, shift rotations, and attendance.

  • Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and health & safety compliance.

  • Assist in opening/closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reports.

  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to meet customer expectations.

  • Train and motivate team members to maintain high performance.

  • Report incidents, maintenance issues, or operational concerns to the Manager.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role, preferably in F&B or hospitality.

  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
